My name is Olga

I work as a tattoo artist since 2016, and over the last few years, I found my style which I call ‘colored graphics’. It is based on botanical and animal motifs and includes delicate and feminine works that I love. I also like black and white tattoos that can also be done within my style.

I moved to Berlin in February 2023 together with my husband and two cats. While I keep living and working in Berlin permanently, I also work in other cities and countries — you can always find information about current guest spots on my Instagram.

  • So, you saw my work and decided that you want to get a tattoo from me. Where should we start the conversation?

    • Describe what exactly you want: theme, body part, approximate size in cm, if there is going to be a cover of scars or older tattoos.

    • Attach image references of what you like so that I could understand your preference better.

    • With this information, I will tell you the price of the work, and we will choose a booking date.

    • Day or two before the booking date, I will send you a tattoo drawing that will be done exclusively for you — or sometimes, it can be sent a bit earlier if I want to clarify some details. A drawing can be corrected and adjusted, and I am always happy to discuss and understand how to realise your idea better.

    • When we agreed with price and day and you want to book the time, please, let me know. My manager will give you our bank/PayPal details for making the deposit (€100). We don’t return the deposit if you don’t come to a session or decide not to do the tattoo. Return or retention of the deposit is discussed individually.

  • Price of the tattoo depends on the complexity of the drawing, its size and placement, whether the work will be colored or black-and-white, and whether the tattoo will cover scars or older works.

    The minimum price for my work is €150. This could be a one- or two-word lettering, a simple outline of a heart or star, etc.

    The price of larger projects is calculated on the basis of how many sessions we will need. One session lasts 5–7 hours and costs 1000-1500€. For example, one session will be enough to complete a colored tattoo covering a thigh.

  • Don’t drink alcohol in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment and sleep well a day before the session (trust me, this is extremely important). On your booking date, don’t forget to eat to feel better — you can also take a snack with you, especially if the session is going to be long.

    What to wear

    There is always a chance that ink will get on your clothes, so please don’t wear something you will feel sorry about in case it gets dirty.

    If the tattoo is:

    • on your hip — wear shorts or dark underwear;

    • on your hip and your side body — I recommend wearing underwear with side ties;

    • on your shoulder — wear a sleeveless top;

    • on your back — wear something with open back or a top with front zipper or buttons that you could back to front to cover the front part of the torso.

    What to expect during and after the session

    Take your phone charger and headphones with you to keep yourself distracted. I like to chat with clients during the session, but sometimes I am too focused for this, and music or movies will keep you busy.

    If your session is going to last few hours, don’t plan anything for the evening after it — it is perfect if your next day is also going to be free. You will want to rest and recover, so take your time to do that.

  • It is possible that your body temperature will rise after the session, and it can be high for 1–3 days. In this case, take any antipyretic medication.

    You also need to refrain from swimming and visiting sauna, gym, or any sports session while your tattoo is healing — that’s approximately 1–1,5 weeks.

    Aftercare

    Classic method with absorbent pads.

    After the session, I do the aftercare for your tattoo and cover it with pad — you will need to change it after you get home.

    You will need to clean and moisturize your tattoo 3 times a day. Here is how to do it:

    • Remove the old bandage. It can have a trace of your tattoo with colored lymph and ichor — no worries, this is fine.

    • Wash the tattoo with warm water and soap.

    • Remove the excessive water with a towel.

    • Put a cream or ointment with dexpanthenol. Do not leave your skin too dry — the tattoo needs to be well moisturized.

    • Use the bandages for the first 1-3 days when you get outside or go to sleep — when you are home, you don’t need to use the bandage, but keep your tattoo moisturized. IMPORTANT: your bandage must let air through, so don’t use plastic wrap on your tattoo.

    • Starting from day 2-4, you can stop using bandages, but keep washing your tattoo and putting cream or ointment on it. You need to moisturize the tattoo whenever it’s dry to touch. Use this treatment until tattoo stops peeling.

    Second skin method

    I only use this method on small tattoos. After the session, I disinfect the tattoo and put a special transparent film on it.

    • Feel free to take shower, just make sure not to steam the skin.

    • For the first few days, you can see liquid emerging under the film. This is lymph that will dry out in a couple of days — don’t worry and just wait.

    • Keep the film intact and do not cover it, as your skin needs to breathe.

    • Remove the film on day 3 or 4 after the session. Stretch it from the edge and remove slowly and carefully. After the film is removed, wash the tattoo with liquid soap without any washcloth. Do not rub it aggressively and be gentle.

    • Your tattoo might peel for a few days — just put moisturizer with dexpanthenol on it.

    • Do not peel off the crust or scratch your tattoo. It is almost healed — just be patient, and the crust will fall off naturally.

    After your tattoo is healed, make sure to put sunscreen on it to keep the pigment bright. If you wish, we can schedule a touch-up for your tattoo after 4–6 weeks. Touch-ups from one to three months of healing is for free. If you require the touch-ups after three months of healing it will cost 100€.

  • Which kind of pigments do I use?

    I use certified pigments made in the USA

    World Famous Ink LIMITLESS (allowed in EU) :

    • 100% Vegan

    • Cruelty-Free

    You can find more info about these pigments here 👉🏻 https://www.worldfamoustattooink.com/pages/limitless

    Will the tattoo always be bright?

    Creating a tattoo, the artist injects ink into the dermis. Above the dermis there is the upper layer of the skin - the epidermis. When the tattoo is healed we see it through the epidermis. The pigments that artists use now are of the highest quality and over time they do not turn blue (if we talk about black color for example). But due to the characteristics of the skin, it’s tan and so on the tattoo will not always look bright. Also on dry skin the tattoo looks dimmer therefore it is important to moisturize the tattoo regularly. And under the sun it is necessary to apply sunscreen cream all the time

    Is touch-up needed after the session? How often do tattoos need to be updated?

    On the appointment I always tell that tattoo may need a touch-up after it is totally healed (one month after the appointment). Due to the individual characteristics of the body the pigment can heal differently with every person. In most cases touch-ups are not needed, but this can only be visible after the tattoo is completely healed. Everyone has a different type of skin and it is not possible to predict if the touch-up will be needed.

    Even if it is required then it will be very small and this is absolutely normal.

    If you protect your tattoo from the sun it will be bright and you won’t need touch up for a few years.
